MEET OUR TEAM
Erika Ulrich | Founder & PRINCIPAL
Erika is responsible for all program operations and serves as the leader of our team, business development director and offers pastoral care to our students and their families. She will tell you any chance she gets, that this is the "best job she ever had". Erika has been married to her amazing husband for 14 years and has three children in our program - in 7th, 4th and 2nd grade - and loves the homeschool lifestyle. In addition to running Capital Christian Academy, Erika serves in children's ministry at Capital Church. In her free time she loves gardening, painting with watercolors and riding her horse, Duke.
Kali Spears | Elementary Vice Principal
Kali oversees our wonderful aide team, coordinates recess supervision, and ensures all of our teachers get the support they need to thrive in their classrooms. She is the first to give a bandaid and a hug, the most powerful prayer warrior, and a loving, motherly leader for our students. Everyone that meets her loves her! She has three sweet girls - in 3rd grade, 1st grade and one little one still at home full time. In addition to her role at CCA, Kali and her husband, Cooper, serve in the family room and on the security team at Capital Church.
Sarah costa | Upper Campus Vice Principal
Sarah serves as our Upper Campus Vice Principal and has an incredible way of connecting with teens. She has been married for 21 years, to a firefighter, is a mom of three and has homeschooled for 5 years. She has twin 5th graders and one son in 7th. She is a retired police sergeant from Orange PD and worked several assignments, including school resource officer and detective for crimes against children. She has a heart for homeschool and building character for middle school and high schoolers.
Stacey Bittick | Operations Director
Stacey is our operations director on campus and makes sure every detail of our daily operations and special events flows seamlessly. She also operates as an aide, lovingly overseeing our sweet students as they play at recess and supervising the building. She is a wonderful leader and staff, parents and students alike are so grateful for all she does to serve our community. When she isn't getting her steps in through our halls, she is baking in her kitchen, selling homes, or homeschooling her two boys. She also serves with her husband, Mark, at Capital Church as preschool Sunday School teachers.
Cooper Spears | Security Director
Cooper is our Campus Security Director and one of the most beloved staff of all. He covers our campus in prayer, wisdom and strength each week and is always willing to grab a football of the roof or engage in a friendly game of Gaga Ball with the students. Cooper is a wonderful girl dad and has three beautiful daughters, and a wonderful wife, Kali. If you see him around, be sure to say hello!
